This Privacy Policy explains how augzoo handles information in connection with the augzoo mobile application, our websites, and other products or services that link to or reference this Privacy Policy (collectively, the “Services”).

By using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide to Us

Depending on how you interact with augzoo, you may voluntarily provide information to us, such as:

Your name;
Your email address;
Information included in messages or inquiries you send to us;
Information you provide when requesting support or communicating with augzoo; and
Other information you voluntarily choose to provide.

At this time, augzoo does not require general users of the public mobile application to create an account in order to experience publicly available augmented reality content, unless a particular Service or experience specifically states otherwise.

2. Location Information and GPS Data

The augzoo platform uses location-aware technology to enable certain augmented reality experiences to appear in connection with physical places.

Current Practice

At this time, augzoo does not retain or maintain a database of users’ GPS location history or telemetry data for the purpose of tracking individual users.

Your device may process location information locally in order to determine whether augmented reality content is relevant to your current surroundings or location.

Depending on the experience and your device settings, the augzoo application may request permission to access location information.

You may control location permissions through your device settings. Disabling location access may affect the availability or functionality of certain location-based augmented reality experiences.

Future Location Data Practices

As augzoo develops new features and services, we may introduce features that collect, process, store, or analyze location information or other telemetry data.

If our data practices materially change, including if we begin retaining identifiable GPS location history or telemetry information in a manner not described in this Privacy Policy, we will update this Privacy Policy and, where required by applicable law, provide additional notice or obtain consent.

3. Device and Technical Information

The Services may receive limited technical information necessary to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the application and related services.

Depending on the platform, device, and services used, this information may include:

Operating system and version;
Application version;
General diagnostic or crash information;
Device language or regional settings; and
Other technical information necessary for the operation, security, and compatibility of the Services.

We do not currently use this information to create a detailed behavioral profile of individual users.

4. Camera and Augmented Reality Features

augzoo uses augmented reality technology that may require access to your device’s camera.

Camera access is used to enable augmented reality experiences and allow digital content to be viewed in relation to the physical environment.

Unless otherwise specifically disclosed within a particular Service, augzoo does not use camera access to continuously record, retain, or monitor users’ surroundings.

You may control camera permissions through your device settings. Certain augmented reality features may not function without camera access.

5. How We Use Information

We may use information we receive or collect to:

Provide, operate, and maintain the Services;
Enable augmented reality and location-aware experiences;
Respond to inquiries and support requests;

Improve the reliability, security, and functionality of the Services;

6. Analytics and Telemetry

augzoo does not currently maintain individual user GPS histories or detailed user telemetry profiles.

We may use limited technical, diagnostic, or aggregated information to understand the performance and reliability of our Services.

For example, we may evaluate information such as:

The number of times an experience is accessed;
General application performance;
Crash or error reports;
Aggregate usage patterns; or
The performance of specific augmented reality experiences.

Where practical, we seek to use aggregated or de-identified information for these purposes.

As our platform develops, augzoo may implement additional analytics or telemetry capabilities. Any material changes to our information collection or retention practices will be reflected in an updated Privacy Policy and additional notice will be provided when required by law.

7. Content and Future Creator Tools

The current public augzoo platform is primarily designed to allow users to experience augmented reality content created or made available through augzoo and its partners.

augzoo is developing and evaluating additional creator and authoring capabilities, including a potential web-based authoring and editing platform currently referred to as Authzoo.

Authzoo is not currently a publicly available component of the augzoo platform.

If augzoo makes creator, authoring, publishing, account, or content-uploading tools available to the public in the future, additional privacy practices may apply. These practices may include the collection and processing of:

Account information;
Creator or organization information;
Content uploaded or created by users;
Metadata associated with content;
Publishing and access settings; and
Other information necessary to operate creator and publishing tools.

The Services may contain links to third-party websites, services, organizations, or content.

augzoo is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you use.

Camera permissions; and
Other permissions requested by the application.
